We are a team
TBR has evolved from the very successful plan created in 2015 by Julie Duncan at her female focused fitness studio in Greenock, Scotland. After spending years struggling with her weight and feeling lost with her own body image, she wanted to ensure no other woman ever faced the same struggle. Jules create TBR (The Badass Rules) as a lifestyle plan, to not only give women the tools they needed to look and feel good but to love the life they live!
We are a Sisterhood
At the very heart of TBR are the amazing ladies we train with! Jules and TBR Coaching Team are there to support you every step of the way in your journey, and equally so are our members! We are a Team, we are a tribe, we are sisterhood, we are on this journey together! Our Studio provides a safe, welcoming, non-judgmental atmosphere where you will feel not only supported and confident, but where you will thrive and learn to love the life you live!

Hi, I'm Jules...
the creator and Head Coach of TBR. Having struggled with my weight and body image my entire life I wanted to create a sisterhood where women were not only given the tools they needed in terms of fitness and nutrition to make their body healthy and strong, but also the support and guidance to make their mindset as equally happy and strong as the badass bodies they were in! I have been a personal trainer and nutrition advisor for 12 years working with thousands of women to create a fun, supportive and effective way to feel fit, feel happy and to love the life you live! I am always learning something new to support our members on their journey to health and wellness, from pre/post natal fitness, to nutrition to Pilates! As a Team, every coach is always learning! I am currently sitting final exams to be a MNU Certified Nutritionist and yoga instructor.
Hi, I'm Karen...
I was the first coach to join the TBR coaching Team in October 2018. Since then I have qualified as a Personal Trainer and Pilates instructor. I have a keen interest in nutrition and I am currently studying to be a MNU Nutritionist with Mac Nutrition. I’ve been on my very own journey where I attended classes and personal training with Julie. I then decided I wanted to help others achieve the best version of themselves. The support you get from The Badass Rules is amazing. We are a family If you are thinking of joining then I’d say go for it, you wont be disappointed!

Hi, I'm Laura...
I’m a 32 year old mum to a lively toddler Harris and baby Brodie. I am a have been working out with Team Badass, doing PT and classes for nearly 5 years. I went from hating myself and exercise to feeling confident and loving working out so much so I continued working out during my pregnancy. I workout not to be skinny but to be strong and healthy. I find it benefits my mental health hugely. Looking forward to all my new adventures with TBR. My favourite class is Pilates.
Hi, I'm Lorna...
When I’m not at work or coaching I love to spend my time with my daughter Amelia and Husband Alan. Don’t worry I manage to have those girls days/nights out as well! I joined TBR as a PT client nearly 4 and a half years ago and haven’t looked back. I remember being terrified that I was too fat and too unfit to train at the studio and so self-conscious. I had had Amelia 6 months before and had lost “me” somewhere along the way. That was my first goal…to feel like “me” again. My fears were quashed as soon as I walked in and I was greeted with a friendly smile and someone who would support and encourage me every step of the way. After a few months I went to my first Kettlebell class, after some persuading from my sister (who also trains with TBR ). I tried to hide at the back feeling out of place. That feeling went in the first few minutes with everybody chatting to me and encouraging. This group of ladies have literally changed my life and now it’s my turn to give something back! My favourite class is Pilates. I love the feeling, energy and motivation a good workout gives you and hope to bring that to the Team as a coach.
Hi, I'm Kirsty...
I have been with TBR since October 2019. I was sent a Facebook post for TBR and as I had just recently moved into the area. I was feeling a little unsure about myself but I got in contact. I came in to meet Julie and instantly felt relaxed and loved the feel of the studio and all the ladies have made me feel very welcome . I teach Pilates and Barre Pilates which I love. I am looking forward to taking part in some of other classes at the Studio and meeting more of you lovely ladies!
Fun fact – Kirsty is also a qualified Spin instructor!
